a) Abraham Lincoln was the tallest president ever in the White house : He was six foot four (= nearly 2 metres) tall. He was also the honest, that's why his nickname was "Honest Abe". 

b) Thomas Edison was the younger American inventor : He started when he was 16. He became the gooder inventor of modern times when he invented the light bulb, his the most important discovery.

c) Ellen MacArthur broke the world record for the faster solo travel around the globe on 7th February 2005. She is the braver sailor I've learnt about. She is also the younger person to be awarded the title of Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
